Dadhikar Fort: A Nature Resort And Fort At Alwar, Rajasthan, India

Perfect For Nature Lovers: If you are a nature lover, you would find this place a heavenly getaway. The Dadhikar Fort is located on the slopes of the Aravalli Hills and is surrounded by a hilly landscape amidst a village environment about 10 km away from Alwar city. Thus, the place is green and naturally beautiful.

A Birdwatcher's Delight: A great number of bird species call the Dadhikar Fort their home. The presence of a large number of trees in and around the fort provide a good habitat for the birds. Thus, if you are a birdwatcher, you simply need to stand on the balcony of your room with a binocular and a camera in hand and happily spend hours bird watching.

Destressing Effect: The Dadhikar Fort is great for de-stressing since it is away from the hustle and bustle of city life, surrounded by greenery, offers fresh and clean air, and relaxing activities. Thus, you can definitely look forward to de-stressing yourself here.

Memorable Dining Experience: The dining out under the stars experience is a top draw at the Dadhikar Fort. The fort has quite a few venues for dining and they keep rotating the dining area. Thus, you get to enjoy your breakfast, lunch, and dinner at different settings during your stay. The food is offered in the form of buffet which is purely vegetarian. The food is tasty and served in style.

Courteous Staff: The always-smiling staff at the Dadhikar Fort will make you feel warm and welcome at the resort. We never felt for once that they were smiling because they simply had to but it felt like they really believed in the Indian concept that guests are like Gods and must be treated so.

Unique Rooms: The Dadhikar Fort currently has 17 unique rooms playing hide-and-seek among the brick walls and columns comprising the fort. The rooms range from grand suites to rustic looking rooms with hexagonal beds. The shape, size, and design of each room is very unique and the price range also varies widely.

Keeps Photographer's Busy: If you love photography, keep clicking away and you would still find arches, columns, brick walls, ethnic artefacts, blooming flowers, and the surrounding scenery at the Dadhikar Fort left to be photographed.

Great Sightseeing Opportunities: The Dadhikar Fort is located near a number of attractions including the Siliserh Lake, Sariska Tiger Reserve, Bhangarh Fort, Bala Qila, Alwar City Palace, and more.

A Bit Expensive But A Magical Experience: The stay at Dadhikar Fort might appear a bit expensive for budget travelers but if you spend a night here, you are sure to carry back home oodles of sweet and magical memories with you.

Caution: The fort involves a lot of climbing up and down so elderly people and those with walking issues need to be aware of that. Also, the route to the fort is slightly confusing so one must take proper directions from hotel staff. Google map is also of great help. There are two routes to the fort. On the first day, we were misguided by the locals and took the much longer route from Alwar City. However, the hotel staff informed us of the shorter and better route the next day. Also, phone towers and internet connection are unpredictable here and no wi-fi connections are offered. However, we did manage to have a near proper Vodafone signal at the fort but our Vodafone internet hardly worked.

Enjoy your stay at the Dadhikar Fort. You will not be disappointed.
