The geographic isolation of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Bay of Bengal has allowed the evolution of many endemic species of flora and fauna in this archipelago. Over 9,100 species of fauna are found on these islands, of which 1032 species (representing around 11.3% of the total number of animal species) are endemic. In this article, the endemic birds of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been enlisted based on Wikipedia information.
