Dhanbad Is One Of The “Least Clean” Cities In India

The excessive mining of coal in Dhanbad and the presence of many coal and heavy metal processing industries make the city highly polluted. It was ranked as the least clean of the 73 Indian cities surveyed by the 2016 Swachh Sarvekshan committee. Taking note of this report, the municipal authorities of the city have planned to plant trees in the city to make the air cleaner.
